SAGINAW BAY ICE FISHING 2026
Jan. 31 2026
FISHING REPORT
2026 Saginaw Bay ice fishing season has begun. 6 to 10 inches of ice on the west shore of the Bay. Snowmobiles and a few quads are getting out of the marina. There are a few open holes so use caution when going out. Please use the boat launch to access the ice on foot or with machines. Fishing has been hit or miss for most anglers. Slow one day and good action the next. The walleye and perch being caught have been good size. Jigging spoons, jigging raps, and dead sticks tipped with minnows have all been productive. Pan fish in the cuts have also been good reports. Be Safe. Captain Jason.
Gas dock is open. Rec 89 and Rec 91 gas both available from the ice or the bridge.
